CarComplaints.com Notes: Some people think the seats in the 2015 Accord are uncomfortable, which is a problem that has plagued the Accord since 2008.
However our opinion is the seats have gotten better, & aside from that issue, the 2015 model year seems relatively trouble free.

I have a 2015 Honda Accord sport. I've had to replace my battery twice now. Until about 3 - 4 weeks ago, my car was working fine until my ignition wouldn't start when I turned the key. But everything electrical in the vehicle works fine. I have to turn the key dozens of times before the vehicle finally starts. Now it got so worst that it takes 10 to 15 minutes to start the vehicle then it suddenly starts like nothing has happened. Did a search on various Honda forums and apparently is a common problem for this vehicle model.
Car has trouble starting. Won't turn over. Just clicks when you turn the key. The car was off and not in motion. It happens several times a day no matter where I'm parked. At first it started happening occasionally. Now it happens every time I start the car. I had a mechanic check it out and can't find out what's wrong but recommended a new starter.
I own a 2015 Honda Accord with 38K miles. I started having problems with it starting. Some days it would crank right up other times I have to try multiple times or not start unless it's jump started. I took it to have the battery checked they told me it was my battery so we installed a new battery and it started acting up again not wanting to start. I finally took it in to be checked today and they tell me it's the starter!!! this is ridiculous for a car with 38,000 miles. Now it looks like I have to fork out $800 for a starter. I am a very dissatisfied Honda customer..don't plan on ever purchasing another after this. Honda needs to make this right for their customers!!!!!

Car does not start randomly. Lights and dashboard will come on but engine will not start and makes a clicking noise. After turning the keys a few times the car will start like nothing happened, and this issue has been going on for a few months recently. Car is parked. Went to dealership and they said it was a starter issue and after researching the problem many 2015 Accord dealers are having the exact same issue.
My car is having issues turning on. It is brand new 2015 from a Honda certified lot. Upon startup I hear a grinding or whining noise from the starter area. (not always) maybe a faulty starter motor and incorrect positioning of the torque converter ring gear, the gear with which the starter meshes to spin the engine at startup. It is a problem I have every day when I try to turn on my car. Sometime it goes on the first press start, other times, I've waited an hour in my car trying to turn it on to get to my next destination.
Car started and ran for half day near end of day car won't start. Battery and alternator was replaced 2 years later car has same issue of car not starting after car was running fine for most of the day.
Car will not start. The battery has been replaced and is less than 2 years old. Lots of other people are complaining of the same issue. Https://www.cargurus.com/cars/discussion-T56656_ds799830 this is my second time with this problem.
Loss of engine power, no acceleration while engaging the gas foot pedal, shacking of car and unable to accelerate. First time, vehicle was in motion on a city street second time, while turning to merge on to freeway ramp and continues to do it soon after starting the vehicle and becoming mobile on city streets.
My car sometimes starts, sometimes doesn't start. Sometimes it starts right away on the first try. Sometimes it takes multiple tries after a few seconds to a few minutes. The times when it doesn't start, I turn the key in the ignition and hear one single tiny click. The dash board lights come on, radio plays, air cond. Works, wipers work headlights work. Eventually, after a few retries, the engine will start. Sometimes it starts after waiting a few minutes. When I do get the car started, it runs perfectly smooth. No stalling or sputtering, no weird noises, no problems with acceleration. It's only on starting when there is a problem this has been going on for about 6/7 months.
2015 Accord LX will not start sometimes.just clicks when key is turned.all lights and everything else are working properly. New battery has been installed and still having same issue. It appears this is happening to numerous other consumers but no progress is being made by Honda to address this problem. Have been left stranded because of this issue on occasion.
Car won't start randomly even with battery jump. It happened a few months ago when the car was parked in garage. I thought perhaps we left a light on or something but car started with battery jump. A few days ago, now my wife could start a car while she was waiting for kids from school parking lot. Thankfully she was able to get some help to jump start the car. Later when she returned home, I also found it not starting again in my home drive way and I can't jump start the car anymore. It has less than 26000 miles... she is now afraid to take the car as it may start at all.
I have a 2015 Honda Accord cp with about 60K miles. I it can not start this morning, all the dash lights flash and it isn't cranking. It happened last year but it could start after a half hour, and it run well until this morning. It just wont start no matter how hard I tried.
Brought the car used from dealer and after 6 months I tried to start the car and only head a click noise. The car was parked, clutch pressed to the floor and gear shift in neutral. This only happens spontaneously, I took the car back to the dealer and they kept the car for a few days and said the they couldn't reproduce the problem. Long story short this continued to happen for about 2 weeks, finally the owner of the lot was there when I came to pick up the car and it wouldn't start, he tried to start the car more than 10 times, and finally diagnose the started being the problem. Had the starter replaced under my extended warranty. Maybe 2 weeks after the replacement, the issue began to happen again. For only having this car for a year and to not feel comfortable driving it, I feel discouraged. It is a big inconvenience wondering if your car is going to start or not when you turn it off.
My vehicle's starter periodically grinds and will not engage the ring gear to start the engine. Honda has acknowledged that improper installation at the factory caused the clearance between the starter motor gear and torque converter ring gear to be improper. See tsb 16-002. The starter will engage after repeated (sometimes 5+) attempts. If the vehicle were to experience a stall while driving, the inability to restart the engine could lead to a crash. In addition, a starter that randomly and unexpectedly fails to engage could cause a driver to be stranded in potentially dangerous weather conditions. Honda has declined to extend warranty coverage to this part that has failed due to an admitted error on their part.
Starter began grinding and skipping at 55,000 miles. I drive 70 miles round trip each day, so the mileage doesn't represent the actual limited amount of starts I have had with this car. Tsb from Honda declares 'improper clearance in starter with pinion gear may cause starting malfunction.' Must rotate torque converter bolts one round clockwise and replace starter to fix. But, this won't fix the issue. The improper clearance is a design flaw. New starter will do the same thing. If the starter malfunctions again, then a new torque converter is required. This is absolutely ridiculous and unfounded in car maintenance. A bad starter design costs owners +3,400$ to remedy the second time. Which still won't fix it. The third starter still won't have the proper clearance.
Car does not start even thought battery is fine. Honda is unwilling to help without a diagnostic fee on an issue many 2013-2015 Accord models have. Car was parked after running completely fine, when I was trying to start it again it refused to turn on completely. Tire light flashes and avs/engine/battery light are on.
Inconsistent start up. One click without actually starting. It may take 1-20 attempts to turnover. Battery is about a year old. Mileage is 117,000 miles. Basic maintenance has been performed on this vehicle.
My car has 58,000 miles. And now the car start up first time and after starting and stopping it the vehicle will intermittently not start. When I push the push start button the lights come on and the radio and the heat comes on but it just clicks. I took it to the local Honda dealer and they recommend the I replace the starter and rotating the torque converter one bold hole counterclockwise.
