The 12-volt battery sensor caused my battery to overcharge and spill out most of the battery acid and corroded the cables. The sensor failed to alert me of the battery's state of charge and and now I have a dead battery. Honda of morgan hill will not replace my battery even though it was cased by the faulty sensor. They are having me pick up my car with a dead battery and will not replace it until I pay for a new battery. Yes, my car is passed the 36K miles but the battery and car is only 2 years old.

Prior to today, I had an instance where all my panel lights came on and my car failed to start. After doing research I learned it could be related to a recall. I called the local dealership to schedule the recall repair and was told the parts were not yet available and they could provide a 'temporary fix' if needed until the parts were available. I elected not to have a temporary fix and wait for the parts to be safe. When going in today (2 months later) for an oil change and tire balance I asked about the recall and if the parts were available. I was told they were so I gave permission for the recall repair to be completed while the had my car for the other scheduled maintenance. I picked up my car at 5:45 after being told the repairs were complete. I left the dealer and went to a restaurant and when I got back to my car and tried to start it, all the panel lights came on again and it failed to start leaving me stranded with my 8 year old son 20 minutes from my home. I called the dealership for assistance and the service department was closed. I was told my a salesman to bring my car in tomorrow morning. I expressed my grave concern with the condition of the car considering the repairs were supposed to be done and the possibility of it turning off or not starting. I did not want to chance driving the car as I did not feel it was safe. While waiting for a ride, the instrument panel and display continued to blink and turn on and off when I attempted to start the car. When my ride arrives, we jumped off my battery to see if it would start. It started but was weak. I drove back to the dealership (5 miles) while being followed by my friend. I left the car and was given a loaner in hopes the repairs can be successfully completed. I worry that the repair won't be properly fixed (they don't have the part)and my safety and my son's safety will be compromised.

The contact owns a 2015 Honda Accord. The contact received notification of NHTSA campaign number: 17V418000 (electrical system). While idling, the vehicle stalled. The contact had to use jumper cables to restart the vehicle. There were no warning indicators illuminated. The vehicle was taken to heritage Honda parkville (9213 hartford rd, parkville, md 21234 (410) 882-3000) where it was confirmed that parts were not available for the recall remedy. The mechanic provided a temporary repair, but the failure recurred. The contact stated that the vehicle was taken to heritage Honda (725 york rd, towson, md 21204 (410) 823-9000), but no diagnostic failure codes were found and the failure could not be replicated. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 65,000. VIN tool confirms parts not available/parts distribution disconnect.

The contact owned a 2015 Honda Accord. While the vehicle was parked at the contact's residence, the vehicle caught fire. The fire department arrived and extinguished the fire. A fire report was filed. There were no injuries. The vehicle was totaled and towed to an auto shop. The dealer (mcgrath city Honda in Chicago, il, 773-889-3030) referred the contact to the manufacturer. The manufacturer stated that the failure was not included in a recall. Additionally, the contact received notification of NHTSA campaign number: 17V418000 (electrical system). The failure mileage was 30,000. VIN tool confirms parts not available.

I recently purchased a Honda Accord coupe 2015 with less than 20K miles and had 2 occurances where the car wouldn't start. The warning sign said fcw system failed and wouldn't start. Did several things, called for help at the dealer and after 20 minutes later, it randomly started. The second time my girlfriend was driving it to the grocery store and when she was getting ready leave, it did the same thing to her. Luckily her work was across the street and came back after her brake 2 hours later and randomly started. This car was never listed in a wreck, has a 1 year old new battery which was replace last year even though it's a 2015 and I'm reporting this August 2017. Please help with this if you have any information on remedying this situation. Thank you!

Car had about 9000 miles on it, wouldn't start after driving it for 25 minutes from home. Automatic shift seems to be locked. 4th of July weekend, long wait for tow truck to dealer. No service people there. I was given a sheet of paper showing a recall that has not been distributed yet for 2013-2016 Accord. The case for the battery sensor mounted at the top of the 12V battery may have been improperly manufactured with gaps that could allow for moisture entry, if moisture containing road salt, or other conductive substance, enters the battery sensor, it could result in an electrical short and subsequently, a fire. Refrain from calling tech line for updates. The fact is I am a woman and I buy a new or lease a new car every three or so years so that I won't be left somewhere stranded and in danger. Anytime a woman is helpless in a non working car, danger is the first issue. Sorry, but we do have to recognize the world is different for men and women. Honda service bulletin 17-057 this has been an issue according to the bulletin for 2013-2016

The manufacturer was notified of the failures. The failure mileage was 400.

Owner was driving the 2015 Honda Accord hybrid on the freeway at speed limit (60mph) and suddenly the brake system failure warning light came on and the car was put on a "fail safe mode" or a driving speed of no more than 40mph. Luckily the owner was able to pull over to a safe area, called Honda for assistance and the car was towed to a Honda dealership. A diagnostic check was performed and an update of a vehicle software was made based on Honda service bulletin 15-057. I think Honda should recall all Honda Accord hybrid that have these issues immediately and have the vehicle software updated because of possible vehicle failure and injury to car occupants as being on a fail safe driving mode could happen anytime and could put the car occupants in a very dangerous and unsafe situation..

My TPMS (tire pressure monitor system) signals false alarms. Most recently, 4-5-17, 60 miles after proper reset of the TPMS, the warning light lit up again. All four tires proved correctly inflated to 37.5psi (hot). For false TPMS alarms the manual instructs the owner to take the vehicle to the dealer for repair, under warranty. On 4-7-5 morgan hill Honda claimed (a) that my complaint is common and (B) that there is absolutely no fix. "Honda is very sorry." The inherent danger of a spurious warning light is obvious: Consider a strange light at 70mph in the diamond lane at night: If the driver cannot recognize the light, panic may ensue. And if the driver does recognize the light, what then? cross four lanes of traffic to find a safe place to exit in the dark in order to visually inspect black low-profile ("high performance") tires for inflation" what can go wrong for a woman pulling off the highway into a strange neighborhood to inspect her tires" theoretically "mike" at morgan hill Honda (408-500-3000) documented my case today, 4-7-17. He provided no paper receipt, as he did nothing other that spin a yarn about temperature variations as a probably cause. (garaged cars experience enormous temp variations every morning, winter and summer.) unless NHTSA is being drained as part of the "swamp", it should investigate this complaint vigorously.

Purchased 2 Honda Accord ex-L V6's in December of 2014. Just 1 week ago one of the batteries suddenly died and eventually showed "check charge system" on the display. Honda determined that the battery was really low and replaced it. Fast foward just a couple of days and the other one starts to exhibit the same exact problems. Taking it to Honda again today but assume they will replace the battery as well. Seems odd that the battery would die on both vehicles less than 2 years after purchase. Cars are driven daily for atleast a 20 minute commute each way plus other trips/errands/etc. Very unacceptable and seems to be a common issue dating back to previous models.

The trunk on my car automatically opens so I have to pull over and close the trunk. I have noticed that usually this happens when I am leaving my house so I believe there is a defect in the automatic trunk opening feature on this car. I back out of the drive way and after driving for 1/2 a block or 1 block the trunk open light comes on. Then I have to pull over and shut the trunk or the trunk lid will open fully and block my visibility out of my rear window. The vehicle is in motion and on a city street when this happens. I am not sure if starting the car causes this problem or putting the car in gear or automatically unlocking the car doors but there is something in that series of actions that causes the trunk to open. This does not happen every time I leave my house but it happens sporadically. I went online to research this problem and there are customer complaints about this issue on Honda cars so I am not the only one having the problem.

Car failed to start because brake pedal refused to depress slightly and close its part of the starter circuit. That failure-to-depress rendered the dashboard push-button inoperable. Honda dealer claimed that brake pedal use during parking had over-pressurized the brake pedal cylinder, which would gradually bleed off. That bleed off took anywhere from 5 minutes to 2 hours, in 3 separate instances. This problem renders this $30,030 car useless for taking a pregnant wife to the hospital or for a myriad of other have-to-start-the-car-now reasons.

The first problem occurred October 22nd, 2015. I was driving at night and I went to change the volume (up and down) on the steering wheel and it was not registering to the car. I then tried changing the station with the left and right buttons, and nothing changed. I proceeded to try using the touchscreen and I would press firmly and the stations would not change. I would have to stop, turn the car off and back on several times, then it would randomly work again. Sometimes it would not work till the next day. I took my car in, showed them the video(s), and they said they rebooted/restarted/updated the firmware or the 'system' and it happened again to just come in. My car is current back in the shop, and now I have seven videos documented of this happening, all with the same issue recurring, on December 2nd, 2015, December 15th, 2015, January 17th, 2016, and January 21st, 2016. I can send all videos to an email but it will not let me upload it on the website. Please note, every time this situation has happened, you can see in the videos, I am driving and/or stationed. Morning, night, turning, driving forward, and reversing even. I checked to see if there were any recalls and/or complaints about this issue, and I could not find any. I honestly do not feel safe since this is a brand new car with under 9K miles.

I was driving on a high way and all of the sudden a light came on that said "power system fail" and I lost the ability to use the accelerator. I stayed calm because there were cars all around me and I began to coast and use momentum to drift to the shoulder of the highway. Then a second light came on and said 'brake system power fail". I tapped the break and it seemed to work but I continued to coast down the shoulder of the highway until I ran out of momentum. I then turned my brand new Honda Accord exl hybrid off and restarted the car. The lights remained on but the accelorator was working so I drove the car to the closest service area on the highway. I then called Honda roadside who told me to turn the vehicle off and wait for a tow truck. He said that I must have broken a belt. Why he said or thought that he could diagnose the problem from a call center I'm not sure. It was over 100 degrees so I did not listen to the man from Honda because it was too hot and not safe for me to sit in the vehicle without air. I waited for a tow truck which cost me $250 even though its a brand new car and I have Honda roadside assistance. My husband came and met me where the tow left me. He drove the vehicle to our dealership. The dealership told us that they have no record of this ever happening and the computer does not show that anything happened. It was so scary and dangerous and I could have been killed. They say that they can't diagnose the problem because it seems like nothing is wrong. They even asked me if I accidentally turned the car off while driving"!?!"! that isn't possible!!!! I just found the exact same complaint from another Honda driver on here which also shows that this has happened before and something is wrong. As a woman who chose this car because it is supposed to be so reliable and safe I am so upset. I do not believe that my vehicle is safe.

My stock radio kept going on and off. It would just stop playing and then start playing on it's own. Like an electrical short. I went to Honda dealership after it continued. They said it would cost me $500 to just look at it not guarantee that they could fix it. The radio is part of the air conditioning system knobs and I didn't want any further shorts to occur since there was nothing wrong with that part of the system. I am the original owner
