CarComplaints.com Notes: The 2013-2014 Honda Accord is showing signs of an electrical problem with the starter failing soon after the 36K mile warranty expires. It's compounded by reports that the OEM battery doesn't have sufficient amps to start the V6 reliably after a year or two.
For now we are rating this problem with the "Beware" seal because it's occurring so soon after the 36K mile warranty expires. The upshot is when your Accord won't start, that's never good, but especially bad when it's just a few years old.
Also once again, owners are complaining that the 2014 Honda Accord seats are uncomfortable. Uncomfortable seats has been a significant complaint with the Accord since the 2008 model year.
I strongly feel this accident was the fault of the car, I had done absolutely nothing to cause it. 2014 Honda Accord a total loss.
About 6 to 8 months ago when I was driving on the 99 (near Elk Grove CA) at about 60 MPH when suddenly my car veered to the left. Fortunately I was able to get the car under control and avoided an accident.
On 11 May 2017, I was in the right lane with cruise control on going 72. Was on the 5 near the 46 Kettleman City CA exit and suddenly I lost control of the car. veered to the left, all over the road, both lanes. Almost overturned a couple of times on the freeway. Then the car swerved to the right towards the dirt, slid and flipped. My feet were under the steering wheel and my body was lengthwise across the passenger side....my seat belt still on. I unbuckled and before I could call 911, another motorist stopped said he called and stayed with me until the CHP arrived. I still called 911 and the dispatch was able to locate me from my cell phone. The CHP was able to pull the door open so I could crawl out of the car. I have neck strain, muscle soreness and several bruises.
I could have been killed!!!!! The CHP said he has seen accidents like mine and the outcome is not good. Honda needs to be held accountable.
I had an alignment done my car due to the problem of the car pulling like many of you. The car is much better, however it still pulls and sways. I took it in to be looked at and the technician at the Honda Dealer tried to tell me it's due to the crown in the road. I know it's not from the crown in the road because none of my other cars pull like that. They said its normal. I know there is something wrong with it, glad I was able to confirm it from other complaints online.
After driving my new Honda Accord Sport for a long distance on the interstate (aprox. 50 miles), the car began to pull to the right and the in-lane handling became noticeably unpredictable, requiring about 3 to 5 degrees of constant left steering input to keep in the lane. When "cold" (first driven 5 miles to the interstate, then around 45 miles on the interstate), the car's alignment and handling seemed to be spot-on.
I had the car aligned at the dealership, almost to the center specs (closer to true alignment than is required by the factory manual). Problem persisted, just as before, requiring around 40 to 50 miles of interstate driving to start.
Due to the car needing warming, the problem seems to be tire or brake related. It could be due to improper filling techniques (water vapor in only one or two tires for example), or the tires themselves.
Car is pulling to the left at moderate to high speeds and it's driving me crazy because I travel 90% highway. The car is a 2014 accord EX-L 4 with only 1160 miles. I'm beginning to suspect the Goodyear tires that came with it as I drove the V6 version which comes with Michelins and I didn't experience any pulling. I also drove another new EX-L 4 cyl with Goodyear tires and it pulled just like mine does.
It's not pulling because of the crown in the road. I've been driving cars for 20 years and never experienced anything like this.
Been to shop under warranty three times.
1) Adjusted tire pressure
2) Full alignment
3) Fresh set of Goodyear fuel max tires. I don't think these are good tires but they are OEM.
