CarComplaints.com Notes: The 2013-2014 Honda Accord is showing signs of an electrical problem with the starter failing soon after the 36K mile warranty expires. It's compounded by reports that the OEM battery doesn't have sufficient amps to start the V6 reliably after a year or two.
For now we are rating this problem with the "Beware" seal because it's occurring so soon after the 36K mile warranty expires. The upshot is when your Accord won't start, that's never good, but especially bad when it's just a few years old.
Also once again, owners are complaining that the 2014 Honda Accord seats are uncomfortable. Uncomfortable seats has been a significant complaint with the Accord since the 2008 model year.
My 2014 Accord w/ under 15,000 miles has now not started 2x in a 1 week period. Both times it occurred when my vehicle sat for the whole weekend. All lights are on automatic and nothing obvious is the cause. I bought this car 1.5 years ago and the battery was replaced when bought it. They claimed the car sitting for 6 months before being sold is why but it had an issue starting and the dealer said they replaced the battery before I drove it off the lot. The only other precursors were the main screen in the vehicle flickered usually when I put the vehicle in gear to drive and the lock/unlock wasn't as consistent as it could be. I do have a remote start that the dealer installed and selected also before I took the vehicle off the lot. The first time this happened, I was was able to have the vehicle jumped and be fine. This time the lights will not go off from when I tried to start the vehicle and now they are flashing violently. For now the cause of all of this is unknown.
Shortly after my warranty ended on this accord, the starter stopped working. Upon looking for into it, there are many others that are experiencing the same thing. I was stranded on an awkward first date without cell phone coverage. It costed $650 to put in a new starter after a tow. I'm worried the starter will probably wear out in the next 50-70K once again. What a pain. Among the CVT, windows, audio, and starter problems, I can't wait to get rid of this car.

The dealership was focused on warranty and never paid attention that this car is less than 2 years old and the battery is gone.
