CarComplaints.com Notes: The 2013-2014 Honda Accord is showing signs of an electrical problem with the starter failing soon after the 36K mile warranty expires. It's compounded by reports that the OEM battery doesn't have sufficient amps to start the V6 reliably after a year or two.

For now we are rating this problem with the "Beware" seal because it's occurring so soon after the 36K mile warranty expires. The upshot is when your Accord won't start, that's never good, but especially bad when it's just a few years old.

Also once again, owners are complaining that the 2014 Honda Accord seats are uncomfortable. Uncomfortable seats has been a significant complaint with the Accord since the 2008 model year.

VSA Modulator has gone bad. This seems to be an on going issue with the 2014 Accord. Honda is aware but continues to do nothing about it. Looks like they are waiting for more deaths before they issue a recall. The part seems to run about $800-$900. Looks like a fairly easy fix but you will have to bleed break lines, due to the way connection is set up.

The car has been to Honda 4X for this problem. Several times they have tested at the $65 electronics testing rate and reported "no problem found." Like I am making this up? Cycles through eight areas including braking system, ABS braking system, power steering system, adaptive cruise control, hill start system, and others with a ping after each problem system in initial go around. Honda seemed to hone in on the ABS system immediately with little concern for the other indicators. Saw someone listed exactly the same problem with their Honda at 53K miles. We bought our Honda in 2015 as a certified used Honda which gave us an extended warranty to four years or 48K miles, however have been advised that this is not a warranty repair and the $1450 will be all on us. The SA has assured me that this will fix the problem so we have decided to get it fixed. Possibly more to follow.
