CarComplaints.com Notes: The 2013-2014 Honda Accord is showing signs of an electrical problem with the starter failing soon after the 36K mile warranty expires. It's compounded by reports that the OEM battery doesn't have sufficient amps to start the V6 reliably after a year or two.

For now we are rating this problem with the "Beware" seal because it's occurring so soon after the 36K mile warranty expires. The upshot is when your Accord won't start, that's never good, but especially bad when it's just a few years old.

Also once again, owners are complaining that the 2014 Honda Accord seats are uncomfortable. Uncomfortable seats has been a significant complaint with the Accord since the 2008 model year.

I purchased my Honda Accord LX in May of 2014. I recently took it in to the dealership due to horrible wind noise. Seems it has gotten worse since I bought the car. They replaced the driver's side window run channel which made the issue worse. My car drives and sounds as if it's being drafted behind a big truck. It's worse at interstate speeds. I did a tape test using masking tape. I taped the windshield, it shifted the wind noise to the windows. I taped all around the windows, the noise was better but you can still hear it. I can't stand driving the car because the noise is so loud and the steering is not as easy as it should be. Feels like the windshield is off or something. Has anyone else experienced this issue?

Update from Nov 23, 2015: I took the car in for a second time, the technician adjusted the stripping around the windows which didn't make a difference. I took my car on a long trip over the weekend, the wind noise was so bad it really put a damper on the trip for everyone that rode in the car.

Update from Dec 9, 2015: I took my car back to the dealership this week. The dealership ordered the parts that were recommended in the TSB for the 2013 model. We will see if that takes care of the problem. I'm happy to see they are at least trying to fix the problem.

Update from Jan 7, 2016: The replacing parts from the TSB for the 2013 model did not work. I talked to the Service Mangager, he drove my car and agreed the wind noise was above normal noise for an Accord. He seems to think it is the doors causing the issue. He showed me how the doors are not supposed to be flush with each other and that may be what is causing the issue. I took the car back in yesterday and they gave me a loaner. I'm hoping the adjusting of the doors will correct the problem.

Update from Jan 18, 2016: The adjustment to the doors did not work. The Honda Representative happened to be there when the car was being worked on. The Representative rode in my car with the Service Manager and stated that the wind noise, though annoying is in an acceptable range and there is nothing else that can be done to correct the issue. I was very disappointed to hear this.

Update from Apr 12, 2016: My car is actually a EX-L V6 not an LX as I stated in the original complaint. We have tried everything we can to correct the wind noise problem. The noise is so bad I don't even want to drive the car. I will be trading for something else.

The wind noise is aweful. Sounds like water constantly running, or wind leaking and hitting you right in the ear. Had the seals fixed, then TSB completed, and I still hear it from the top corner of the pillar. Picks up around 50 mph regardless of direction. So annoying if all you do is highway driving. Honda Corporate won't help. Dealer tried but no real fix. I'm ready to be done with Honda forever. What car should I get next?

Honda Service Center in Kearny Mesa, San Diego Ca does not even care to inspect the car, even though I bought the vehicle brand new and it has only 500 miles on it, in regards to the excessive wind noise from the pillars. THE noise starts to really be excessive, as if the window is slightly cracked open, at the speed of 45 and above which should not be happening unless the windows are cracked slightly. I hope Honda is going to take this complaint serious and fix the problem for good for future Honda buyers since the wind noise is really annoying for long periods of driving.

First, I am an experienced long term driver so I understand that a car is only as good as the parts. The Honda Accord V-6 upon driving it off the dealership lot had a loud whining howling (TSUNAMI) noise coming into the car after reaching 40 MPH sometimes lower if there are any crosswinds.

I notified the dealership and they said it could not be replicated. I then called HONDA manufacturer where they said no TSB recalls or fixes are located for any Accords. There is a recent 2013 Honda Accord TSB window repair by the manufacturer (enough said about HONDA) I am surprised that HONDA would build a new car their best trim level an Accord V-6 Touring with faulty window seals as according to the three websites has accrued more than ten years straight.

It was kind of FUNNY to see their NEW commercial name their Accord as quiet? Now you know why they are trying to regain their build quality control since their 2013 Accord window fixes by TSB. Beware if you are looking to ANY HONDA while the overall car is good that annoying LOUD wind outside noise will keep you from wanting to drive the car or at least until they relapse a 2014 TSB fix or you buy EARPLUGS. The dealership will not repair because they only get paid if HONDA has a TSB recall published regardless of any new car warranty or extended warranty does not apply.

I want to voice my concern over the amount of wind noise on my new 2014 Honda accord. At speeds over 45 mph it begins and gets excessive at 65 mph. I took it into the Honda service center and they told me to turn the radio up. What a joke. They offered no solutions. They were great at telling me how much better this car was than the Kia Optima. The Kia Optima was super quiet. What a regret.

It's definitely going to be a long dreadful ownership or maybe not? I feel like trading it in on the Optima, just hate to loose on depreciation at only two months old. It would seem this problem would have been resolved years ago as I have read about this problem on many of the websites. I am certainly not impressed with Honda. I had been told how great of a vehicle they are. Now I know personally they are just as noisy as my 79 pickup.

Vehicle producing a wind noise from pillars next to driver ears and passenger ears.Took car to dealership twice and nothing is resolved and contacted American Honda about it and they made me to go to the dealer again and dealer informed HONDA that they tested other vehicles and it is also producing the noise. American Honda customer service agent telling that it's the characteristic feature of the car.

That's BS as no one wants to have a car with noise in the ears as a characteristic feature. They don't want to recall as it cost them money but the customers can suffer with annoying noise. Honda accord 2013 had the same problem and they did the recall and they can't fix that issue in next year model and making customers to suffer with it? This is bull sh*t and ridiculous and never again....DON'T BUY HONDA FRIENDS>>>
