CarComplaints.com Notes: The 2013-2014 Honda Accord is showing signs of an electrical problem with the starter failing soon after the 36K mile warranty expires. It's compounded by reports that the OEM battery doesn't have sufficient amps to start the V6 reliably after a year or two.
For now we are rating this problem with the "Beware" seal because it's occurring so soon after the 36K mile warranty expires. The upshot is when your Accord won't start, that's never good, but especially bad when it's just a few years old.
Also once again, owners are complaining that the 2013 Honda Accord seats are uncomfortable. Uncomfortable seats has been a significant complaint with the Accord since the 2008 model year.
My car started shaking when I was at a light or a stop and then it was sluggish when I stepped on the gas. It started doing this all the time. I took it to Honda and they couldn't figure out what was wrong with it. I was so stressed because I drive a baby to school. I contacted the main Honda headquarters and they couldn't help me out either. At least it is going to be taken care of now. Finally Honda agreed to call an engineer out to figure it out. Well it was a cylinder head that needed to be replaced. REALLY. I am hoping this fixes the problem.
Our 2013 Honda accord 4cyl developed a problem in 2016. When the car is accelerating (automatic) the engine noise increases and when you expect it to shift and then engine to quiet down it doesn't. I thought perhaps it was stuck in second gear but with the engine racing I look at the tach and see it drop from 3000rpm to 1500rpm but the engine still sounds like it hasn't shifted yet. help
