CarComplaints.com Notes: The 2013-2014 Honda Accord is showing signs of an electrical problem with the starter failing soon after the 36K mile warranty expires. It's compounded by reports that the OEM battery doesn't have sufficient amps to start the V6 reliably after a year or two.
For now we are rating this problem with the "Beware" seal because it's occurring so soon after the 36K mile warranty expires. The upshot is when your Accord won't start, that's never good, but especially bad when it's just a few years old.
Also once again, owners are complaining that the 2013 Honda Accord seats are uncomfortable. Uncomfortable seats has been a significant complaint with the Accord since the 2008 model year.
Nov.6 I was driving my 2013 Honda Accord. I pulled into a store parking area at about 5 miles per hour. I put my foot on the brake and turned to enter the parking space when my car accelerated with my foot on the brake. I heard the car rev-up and pushed on the brake more. The revving stopped, but the car continued to move forward. The car moved over the parking barrier and headed for the store. It broke through the store wall almost up to my windshield. As I moved forward pressing hard on the brake I could hear the wall crunching so I pushed the transmission into Park and pushed the button to turn the car off. The car stopped immediately. I was not hurt, but the damage to my car and the store wall was extensive. The estimate has not yet been completed.
