CarComplaints.com Notes: The 2013-2014 Honda Accord is showing signs of an electrical problem with the starter failing soon after the 36K mile warranty expires. It's compounded by reports that the OEM battery doesn't have sufficient amps to start the V6 reliably after a year or two.

For now we are rating this problem with the "Beware" seal because it's occurring so soon after the 36K mile warranty expires. The upshot is when your Accord won't start, that's never good, but especially bad when it's just a few years old.

Also once again, owners are complaining that the 2013 Honda Accord seats are uncomfortable. Uncomfortable seats has been a significant complaint with the Accord since the 2008 model year.

The driver's side sun visor has broken twice since I bought the car new. The first time it was under warranty. This time they wanted $159 for the part and never responded to my direct question of the labor cost. So I ordered the replacement part (which is a different color) and my husband is going to replace it. I've owned a variety of cars in my 43-year driving history and this has NEVER happened with other cars. I love my Accord EX-L, but I am switching to Subaru after this. Obviously there is a defect with this part.

Must be a problem across the board in this model because I see it reported all over the internet. It IS a safety problem because it falls down in front of your vision and even hits you in the forehead as you are driving. Definitely obstructs your vision. Have been putting off replacing because of the excessive charges by the Honda Dealer's cost of replacement. Cost of part alone is $125. Not sure what it would be for them to install it. Would not buy another Honda because they don't take responsibility for a premature failure of a part which should never have failed. Nor do they give you a break on the price when it is a defective part. THIS SHOULD BE A RECALL BECAUSE OF THE SAFETY ISSUE!!!!!

When my friend pulled the passenger sun visor down, there was a loud crack. Since then, the visor will not stay up all the way to the ceiling. It stays about 2 inches from the ceiling. When I drive on dirt roads, the visor falls all the way down.

Bought the car used, driver side visor was not staying up all the way. Replaced with a used one, it broke in the same fashion 2 days later. I am now on my third replacement visor (that I bought new from a Honda dealer with a warranty) and so far so good a couple weeks later. I love the 9th generation Accord but the sun visors are garbage! I guess they had to cheap out somewhere...

It appears that others have the same problem so it looks like a defective part.

The fact that now both visors have gone bad seems to indicate to me that the parts they used are inferior.
