Loss Of Acceleration
2012 Honda Accord
This problem may be covered under warranty. Ask your Honda dealer.
CarComplaints.com Notes: The 2012 Honda Accord has a solid reputation (so far), with one very significant flaw: uncomfortable seats.
Owners have consistently reported uncomfortable seats with the entire 8th generation (2008-2012) of Honda Accords. Complaints range from back pain to leg circulation problems due to bad lumbar support, cushioning, & seat angle. Complaints aren't limited to only a certain body type -- the seat comfort problems are from a wide spectrum of owner height & weight.
The common theme we hear is "we never noticed this during the test drive." Unfortunately for unwary buyers, the seat pain is noticeable after 15-20 minutes.

It happened two times, October 1st, 2014 and October 2nd, 2014. First, I was taking exit from the freeway, by the stop car totally lost acceleration, would not go faster than 10 miles per our. I pulled to side, stopped the engine and restated after couple of minutes and car drove again, but engine worked really rough. The engine light and VAS stayed on, I erase it at home by disconnecting battery. Second time, next day on the freeway, going 75 mph, lost again acceleration, thanks God I was on the right line, puled to side and again stopped engine and restarted, car drove normally but engine worked rough. This time, the engine light and VSA light turned off after I restarted car??? Funny. I took to the dealer this morning, they called me around 2pm and said, they didn't find anything wrong. Let see if will happen again.
