CarComplaints.com Notes: The 2012 Honda Accord has a solid reputation (so far), with one very significant flaw: uncomfortable seats.
Owners have consistently reported uncomfortable seats with the entire 8th generation (2008-2012) of Honda Accords. Complaints range from back pain to leg circulation problems due to bad lumbar support, cushioning, & seat angle. Complaints aren't limited to only a certain body type -- the seat comfort problems are from a wide spectrum of owner height & weight.
The common theme we hear is "we never noticed this during the test drive." Unfortunately for unwary buyers, the seat pain is noticeable after 15-20 minutes.
Not much to add. Think 85,000 miles is way too soon for a clutch to go out. Even when clutch was working, there was no give. It was either fully in or out. Also, car would jerk at low RPM. Not a car expert, but think the clutch is not developed properly for the V6 model for the power/rate ratio of the car.
I bought a new Honda Accord, 5 spd., after seeing how great my grandmother's civic has been. After only 29,000 miles my clutch has completely worn out. I was told I didn't know how to drive a clutch. I learned on a clutch and most of the driving for the first 20,000 miles was freeway! I had to have the car towed into the dealership. I was initially told that the problem would be about $950 dollars. Today I am being told it will be $2000 and my share, after previous negotiation is $800. Which I don't have! I bought the extended warranty and this should all be covered under it, but I am being told it isn't. I did read the warranty several times and can find no exclusion for this problem. I need help now!
