CarComplaints.com Notes: The 2011 Honda Accord has a solid reputation (so far), with one very significant flaw: uncomfortable seats.
Owners have consistently reported uncomfortable seats with the entire 8th generation (2008-2012) of Honda Accords. Complaints range from back pain to leg circulation problems due to bad lumbar support, cushioning, & seat angle. Complaints aren't limited to only a certain body type -- the seat comfort problems are from a wide spectrum of owner height & weight.
The common theme we hear is "never noticed this during the test drive." Unfortunately for unwary buyers, the seat pain is noticeable after 15-20 minutes.

I bought my 2011 Accord used from a pleasant and seeminly trustworthy dealership. I don't believe they could have anticipated the issue with the torque converter. A couple weeks after I purchased the vehicle, I noticed the transmission was shuddering/vibrating at low speeds once in a while. Didn't seem like a huge deal as it didn't happen every time I drove it. My mechanic had some difficulty pinpointing exactly what was wrong as he doesn't specialize in transmissions (I wasn't sure at the time that WAS the problem, since my prior car that had a tranny issue behaved quite differently). A couple months later the slipping and shuddering had happening each time I drove the car, multiple times, and it was much more aggressive. I ended up taking the car to Honda where I was told it was my torque converter needing to be replaced...for $2,000. When this problem first arose, my car was 6 years old with 76,000 miles, too young for this grief but long out of warranty. Unfortunately the lemon law was no help for me either.
I spoke with another transmission specialist who told me if I bring it to Honda to repair just the torque converter, I'll be back there within 6 months with the same problems happening again. He went on to explain how this is a very common issue with Honda and that they bring him more business than anyone else. I find it absolutely ridiculous that I'm having an issue like this where I see a slew of similar complaints online, yet there's been no sort of recall done yet for this part.
I'll be coming to some sort of solution soon and will update this complaint then.
