In October 2013, Honda settled a class action for excessive oil consumption which extends their V6 powertrain warranty out to 8 years & no mileage limit. However, is the inconvenience & risk of dealing with Honda on this problem worth it? We don't think so.
Owners have consistently reported uncomfortable seats with the entire 8th generation (2008-2012) of Honda Accords. Complaints range from back pain to leg circulation problems due to bad lumbar support, cushioning, & seat angle. Unwary buyers report the seat pain is mainly only noticeable after 15-20 minutes. The common theme we hear is "never noticed this during the test drive."

The contact owns a 2010 Honda Accord. The contact stated that the air bags failed to deploy after the vehicle was in a head-on crash. The contact was injured and required immediate medical attention. A police report was filed. The vehicle was towed and deemed as destroyed. The manufacturer was notified. The vehicle was not diagnosed. The failure mileage was 60,000.
Car was parked at boat dock parking lot when passenger front door was closed, large bang from arming device occurred, and curtain air bag on passenger side was deployed. No injury, no external contact with vehicle except passenger door being closed.
While beginning to accelerate from a parking spot, going somewhere between one to five miles per hour all passenger side air bags deployed. I thought for sure Honda would be willing to correct this major safety issue but much to my surprise, they were very rude and refused to pickup any costs I incurred from this incident ( a little over $10000 ).
While slowly accelerating at less than 5 mph all passenger side airbags deployed without any impact to vehicle, in process of trying to get Honda to take responsibility for faulty equipment. Currently they are refusing and trying to push the claim onto my insurance company even though there was no accident.
I was involved in a three vehicle collision. I was rear ended by the 4th vehicle which started a chain reaction and my vehicle was hit in the rear and the front and the air bag did not deploy. My vehicle was a total loss.

Was making a turn on to youngs street near burger king, car infront of me stopped for there was too much traffic and I bumped into the car infront of me in which was a Toyota Camry. My front bumper, my hood, radiator was bent inward, passenger side panel was bent inward, head light was smashed in and broke, frame for front fender was bend inward and my air bags did not deploy. Police officer noticed that they did not.
My wife was driving 2010 Honda Accord back from work at 2:00pm afternoon. She was in the next street which was hardly 500 ft long at the appx speed of 20mph. She lost the control and hit a small tree on left side end of the street and car rolled over. Fortunately there was no one on the road and she was wearing seat belt and front airbag deployed. But even though car flipped & rolled over, side & curtain airbags did not deploy which possibly resulted in very serious injury to her left hand. Both the driver side & passenger side window glasses completely shattered. She never lost her consciousness and she could not recall why this happened. All she remember is that she was going to hit the tree and tried to steer away from it.

A police report was filed. The vehicle was with the insurance company being inspected. The dealer stated that sometimes the air bags would deploy and other times, they would not.
