UNCOMFORTABLE SEATS: Owners have consistently reported uncomfortable seats with the entire 8th generation (2008-2012) of Honda Accords. Complaints range from back pain to leg circulation problems due to bad lumbar support, cushioning, & seat angle. Complaints aren't limited to only a certain body type -- the seat comfort problems are from a wide spectrum of owner height & weight. The common theme we hear is "we never noticed this during the test drive." Unfortunately for unwary buyers, the seat pain is noticeable after 15-20 minutes.

The airbag warning light illuminated after the deployment. The vehicle was taken to an authorized dealer where they advised that the vehicle could not be diagnosed for the failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure and the current mileage was 36,000. The consumer also stated the TPMS light illuminated. When she took the vehicle to the dealer, it went off and then came back on. The dealer stated by plugging in her cell phone, it was causing the light TPMS light to illuminate. Updated 07/18/12

The vehicle was taken to several dealers where they advised him that they were unable to diagnose the failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was approximately 5,000.
The contact owns a 2009 Honda Accord LX. The contact stated that while driving 30 mph, the tire pressure warning light (TPMS) illuminated. The vehicle was inspected by a dealer and informed the contact that the warning light was illuminated due to the air temperature changing. Upon leaving the dealer, the failure continued to occur intermittently. The contact had the tires inspected by the manufacturer to determine if the problem was within the tires. The manufacturer informed the contact that there was nothing wrong with the tires yet they also stated there could possibly be a slow leak. The vehicle was not repaired. Bought a brand new Honda Accord 2009 ex from bryan auto in fayetteville, nc on 11/5/08...upon leaving the lot (11 miles on car) the tmps indicator came on and has stayed on permanently since then. We have been advised by my auto insurance co (usaa) not to drive the vehicle under any circumstances--the vehicle may be replaceable, but our lives our not. We took the car back to bran Honda on 11/7/08 and complained, yet were told only that the tire pressure "may or may not" have been checked--they will not provide us with documentation of any service from this date. We have a car that we fear to drive--they have suggested putting nitrogen in the tires, but I am not willing to go against my warranty or Honda specifications which may void my warranty. The car and the dealership are a disaster--they are rude, uncaring and insensitive, and we have a useless, dangerous car-the light stays on steady, so is not related to any temperature changes. We desperately need assistance. Thanks so very much for your time & consideration in this matter.
