- Tint Protector - I understand your problem, because I am suffering from the same. It is a design issue in the car, and needs to be fixed by either: 1. Removing the inside felt altogether. 2. Installing Tint Protector, the link that I am attaching. I am not sure how this site works, this is the first time I am posting a reply. I live in Saudi Arabia, and I cannot seem to find a solution to this problem in my car, hence the need to ship this item from USA. People who have used it have said it's the only good longlasting solution to the problem.

I purchased my new 2007 Honda Accord EX-L V6 in August of 2007. Living in Florida, a question that I brought up before I purchased the vehicle was regarding window tint. I wanted the dealership to install tint before I picked up the car, but since I lived far away it wasn't really feasible.
After the dealership indicated to me that there were no problems installing window tint, I went ahead and made the purchase. That same week I took my vehicle into a reputable tint facility and had tint put on all 4 windows and the rear window.
Within a month after the tint was installed, I started noticing faint scratches. These scratches got worse, fast!
I brought my car back to the tint shop and they said they cannot honor my lifetime warranty because the rubber stripping that is in the 2007 Accord is scratching the tint. I then took the car to a local Honda dealership and got nothing but argument and false accusations back from the service manager. (DO NOT GO TO COURTESY HONDA IN SANFORD, FLORIDA) In fact, the manager said there was no way the car caused the scratches, because there is felt on the windows. NO he was wrong, I told him to look at the strips and I was correct about rubber being there.
I then took my car to another dealership to see what they have to say. The manager was very friendly and informed me that Honda is well aware of this issue. In fact, they fixed this issue on many owners' vehicles who complained. He then said Honda told him that they are not going to pay for the repair anymore.
Considering Honda knows about the problem, and has helped others with the problem they should not be denying me this repair, under warranty. I would NEVER have purchased this vehicle EVER, if I could not have window tint in the state of Florida.
