Accord LX 2.4L

My 2007 Honda Accord was a gift for my 17th birthday in 2020. When I drove it home, it was a 2hr drive and it barely used any gas. Great! Except it wasn’t. Every time I drove it after that, it sucked up gas like a mosquito on my arm. I mean, this thing was really costing me. You know how expensive gas is now. I’d have to fill it up almost 3 times a week, and the car isn’t even used to drive to work. Leisure only pretty much. I had a engine code for my O2 sensor, which I had replaced. The code came back, and my mileage never got better. So the problem was never fixed.

Accord EX V6 3.0L

  • Automatic transmission
  • 20,000 miles

Poor gas mileage at all speeds. City 10 MPG/highway 21mpg. All diagnostic codes show proper operation. Rapid acceleration results in delay of down shift and loud noises. Been to dealer 3 times--cooperative but sticking w/ diagnostic codes. Most codes are input related and not output values. For example, the solenoid voltage of the torque converter does not correlate to stroke or movement of mechanical components.

Called American Honda- cooperative but ineffective. Dealer will run road test May 3, 2010.

Are there any TSB's? Any recalls on low gas mileage?

Accord EX V6

  • Automatic transmission
  • 4,500 miles

Bought my 4th Honda based on good prior experiences and looking for good fuel economy. The sticker said 20 city/ 29 highway. I am getting more like 15/19 and my dealer keeps telling me there is nothing wrong with the car. I am very frustrated as they keep dismissing me!

Accord LX I4

  • Automatic transmission
  • 2,900 miles

I purchased the vehicle brand new last month (August 2007). I was getting 22 miles in the city and 26 miles on the highway. now with 2900 miles on the vehicle I started getting 18.5 in the city and 25 on the highway. poor gas mileage from what is stated on the window (24 mpg city/34 mpg highway) when i purchased the vehicle. Very disappointed with this Honda. (4 cylinder 2.4 L automatic).

Accord EXL V4

  • Automatic transmission
  • 26,000 miles

Sticker says 34 mpg hwy. I am only getting 26. I bought it specifically for the gas mileage savings with the 4 cylinder Dealership says it needs to "break in" & winter fuel additives will also affect it. Whatever, they should have told me about this when I bought it. Buy the V6 - you will be happier.
