Took 2007 Honda, with 27,355 miles, in for belt noise to Rivertown Honda. Was told that the timing belt was defective and that Honda makes a shim kit to repair KNOWN defect, for the bargain price of $724.27. If not repaired, this would ruin engine. I convenlently received a $50.00 off coupon for timing belt almost 2 weeks prior to this repair. If this is a known problem by Honda then why did they not recall this car? Wouldn't it be a safety hazzard if the engine is ruined and suddenly stops working? This is the first Honda I have ever purchased, and paid cash for, and after this it will be the last Honda I ever buy!
