So I take car of my car - it's my baby. I bought it used and it was love at first sight. I figured I should be (almost) problem free. Boy was I wrong. In February of 2011, I was stranded at work, since my car wouldn't start. My parents were thankfully in the area and jumped me and I was able to drive my car to a nearby auto-parts store. Once there, they diagnosed it and it was due to a bad alternator. My dad installed the alternator on the spot and to his surprise the alternator in my car wasn't factory issued.
Two months later I was noticing lights on my dash go in and out, like my battery light and air bad light would go on and off while driving. I tool the car to the dealership shortly after the problem occurred. After a few tests the dealer said that my alternator was bad (and boy was I mad...). My car was at the dealer for two days going through random electrical tests and they found nothing. So my car has gone through 4 alternators in 4 years. Joy.
