This car has had an annoying rattle coming from the rear on the driver's side from the time it was picked up new. The dealer has replaced the driver's side rear shock, then a muffler, but the rattle continues. This rattle sounds like the exhaust system has a bad hanger that allows the pipe to rattle against the underside, but on inspection, the system hangers do not appear to be the problem and the tail pipe doesn't look like it hits anything. The rattle consistently appears on slow moving left turns. The dealer now says to leave the car with them for at least a day to find the cause of the rattle. Ugh!
Update from Aug 18, 2010: Finally got the rattle fixed by the dealer. This time they used a hearing device to isolate the rattle and found it was an exhaust hanger that needed realignment. They bent it and - no more rattle. Had they done this in the first place they could have saved Honda the cost of a shock and a muffler!
