The contact owns a 2006 Honda Accord. While driving approximately 65 mph, the contact heard an abnormal noise. The contact discovered that the sun roof glass had shattered and left a hole directly in the center of the glass. There were no injuries. The dealer stated that an object struck the sun roof and caused it to fracture; however, the contact disagreed with the dealer. The vehicle was not repaired and the manufacturer was not notified. The approximate failure mileage was 126,000.
Purchased a 2006 Honda Accord coupe on March 15th 2006, was traveling no the highway with no vehicle in the front of me and on March the 17th two days after purchased my sun roof shattered. Talked to the dealership, manufacturer and their reply was its not a manufacturer defect therefore its nothing they can do. I had to pay $602 at another Honda dealership out of town for the sun roof to be replaced.
