After leaving my son's track meet, the A/C began blowing warm air. My husband went and bought refrigerant, and as he was putting it in, mist/smoke started coming from the front of the car. My husband took it to the mechanic and was told we needed to replace the A/C condenser. Apparently a pebble hit the condenser which now has a pin hole in it. Honda doesn't cover it and it's expensive to replace. There's too many complaints about this issue for there not to be a recall on it.
The contact owns a 2006 Honda Accord. The contact stated that the air conditioner blew hot air on the driver side and cold air on the passenger side while the dual climate control was active. The vehicle was taken to the dealer where it was found that the mode control had failed. The vehicle was repaired but the failure recurred. The contact stated that the vehicle was repaired previously in April 2012 for the failure. The manufacturer was notified and advised the contact to take the vehicle to an authorized dealer and also offered to assist with the repair costs. The failure mileage was 87,000.
The contact owns a 2006 Honda Accord. The contact stated that the driver side window rattles. The dealer lubricated the window. He also stated that the air conditioner does not blow cold air. The dealer stated that the air was not cold because the vehicle was black and the filter was clogged. The VIN and engine size were unknown. The current mileage was 16,000 and failure mileage was 5.
