problems with getting into 3rd gear/pops out
Date and mileage are not accurate, car was already like that when it was purchased. After having a couple Hondas in the past with transmission problems I said the only way I would get another one was if it was a standard so I wouldn't have any transmission problems. And what luck I went out and found probably the worst standard transmission Honda made. After discovering the exact problem online, I seen majority of people were changing out the transmission fluid to GM/AC Delco synchromesh with great success. I'm not expecting any compensation for an expensive fix, so I joined the crowd and did the same. The shift is like it should be, I was surprised with the results. I know that unless you replace the faculty parts at a hefty price the problem is not corrected. I just hope that shorter intervals between fluid changes will keep it shifting fine, and extending the life of the transmission.
