The dealership and Honda offered no solution and merely advised that this vehicle was not covered by the airbag recall. This car was garaged in Maryland (a fairly warm and humid area). Takata's position appears to be that the problem is too expensive for them to accept responsibility to remedy and they simply do not care about the safety of the consumer. My fear is that the airbags will inflate and kill or otherwise severally injure the driver (my daughter) and or a passenger in the vehicle. I am currently considering the formation of a class action suit against the dealership, Honda and Takata. Criminal prosecution may also be pursued against all parties concerned. The cover up of this long standing problem appears to go back at least 2001?
