The backlight on my radio for my 2006 Honda Accord went out the other day. It had gone out for about 10 min about 6 months ago but came back on. All of the other light for the dash are working fine. I just can't see the radio when the sun goes down.
I am going to check and make sure that it is not a fuse or a loose connection somewhere since all of the other lights are working.
In my reading I see that the 2003-2004 models had the same problem and a service bulletin/recall was issued and that the radio was changed in the 2005 to present models.
They are going to charge me $60 to check to see what the problem is and if it is under warranty or service bulletin it will cover that cost and the repair. I have a feeling this is going to be an expensive repair. If they give me a crazy quote I will just upgrade my radio.
