The contact owns a 2006 Honda Accord. The contact stated that the chrome passenger door handles have caused the injuries to his hands. The driver side door handles have also caused injuries to his hands as well. The contact took the vehicle to a dealer to have the door handles replaced; however, the manufacturer would not cover the cost the handles were not replaced. The dealer will give the contact a written statement saying the the door handles are sharp and has caused injuries. The statement will be sent to the manufacturer to request that the handles be replaced with no cost to the contact. The contact feels the manufacturer should be responsible for the repairs since it' S a manufacturers defect. The failure mileage was 51,000.
