Since I have owned this vehicle (bought used with 68,000 miles) it has had an issue that over 10 mechanics have not yet solved. It has slowly escalated to the point it is now unable to be driven at 250,000 miles. It is an idle issue, the car started revving up to around 3,000 rpm-??s (on hot days it seemed but it also started to happen in the winter ) whenever I would put the car into park after driving it a small amount of time. The safety mechanism would kick in on the vehicle making it impossible to put back into gear and I would be forced to shut the car off and let it rest for around 30 minutes before it would start without immediately revving up to the red line again. I-??ve replaced everything that every mechanic has told me that it could be. Even tried to replace almost everything all at once. Over time this issue began to get extremely worse and the vehicle would start to accelerate on its own to the point I almost crashed it three different times because I would be unable to slow the vehicle down coming to a stop sign and I-??d have to throw the e brake on while pressing the main brake system. Afterwards I-??d have to quickly find a parking spot and shut the car off due to the damage I felt like the engine was taking. Then it seemed like possibly an electrical issue because the power would drain overnight and the car wouldn-??t start without a jump even after replacing the starter, alternator, battery, etc. I-??ll end by saying now when I can get the car started, the last time that I drove it, it had the same issue of accelerating on its own and the rpm-??s increasing to around 2,500 or 3,000 or even more at times and felt as if the automatic transmission was missing or slipping gears and the car would almost stall out and shake violently as if you were driving a manual transmission and it was the moment right before you killed the engine. The last time I drove it I had to pull over at a gas station and call someone to come pick me up and pull the car home.

I was driving in Kansas City Kansas. On 635, It was around 6 pm. When I started exiting onto another highway. Due to car stalling by either transmission slipping, or the fuel pump stalling the engine headlights too dim with weird angle in lighting as well, Long story short.... I was almost the cause of a massive wreck... it made for a quiet drive home... So I was also going to see if they've had a recall on 2005 honda accord aside from airbags.

I have a 2005 Honda Accord hybrid with 300K yes she has alot of miles but has been a great car. But just this month I have has 2 issues arise. 1. my daytime running lights come on and will not go off, unless I unhook battery. We took the fuses out wich turned the lights off but still drains the battery for some reason. We have checked all the relays and fuses. Need help!!!! 2nd issue is a code coming up for the hybrid powertrain control module. My vehicle has lost power and is in limp mode. Please help me!!!!!

When cruise control is pressed the main cruise light comes on like it's supposed to but then whwn you press the aet button nothing takes place.the light blinks on for 1 second but that is the end of that.I looked under the hood and noticed the cruise control wire cable is hanging in mid air about 3inches away from throttle body.it still has the small barrel on the end of the cable for attaching to something.

The contact owns a 2005 Honda Accord. While the vehicle was parked in the driveway, the contact discovered that the gear shifter button had fractured and separated from the gear shifter knob. Upon inspection, the contact noticed broken plastic fragments coming out of the knob where the button had detached. The contact indicated that after the failure the vehicle would only operate in the neutral and drive positions, and the key could not be removed from the ignition switch. The vehicle was towed to the contact's home. The dealer was not notified. The manufacturer was notified and provided case number: 09857723. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The failure mileage was 70,000.

My alternator is covered in alternator fluid including my serpentine belt all the way to my power steering reservoir. Also I've been noticing a loss of power in my vehicle, when I pump gas I try to fill it up and it wont fill up all the way to full it stays 1/4 less of full. Other thing is I had to take off the fuse for the radio due to the radio making loud popping sounds and turning of and on the speakers are fine its all original. This past weekend I noticed also when I was about to hit the road I wanted to set it on cruise control and it didnt work at all only the cruise control light was on and I used it a couple of times this year without problems till now.this week im going to the dealer to have my airbags fixed again due to an airbag recall.

Repeatedly stopping. With no warnings. When driving, engine quit in January, would not move or even turn over. The manual transmission would not move. Door locks, electric as well as with the key could not be used at. Called aaa to be able to open the door. Jumped the battery to move the car. Still frozen in gear. Had it towed to two dealers. Said the clutch was destroyed. Prior to this issue, not one problem. I had to pay $250 for diagnostics to tell me clutch was burned out. I have driven over 34 years and always had a manual transmission. After clutch was replaced, it did it again and again. At this point, we bought a new battery. Once again, I called aaa and they jumped the battery. I am requesting an investigation into the constant electrical freeze. I would like a refund of the diagnostic. Charges and repairs. I took my 2005 Honda Accord to Honda world in westminster, California and was told there's no recall for my airbags even though I have received notices in the mail and the airbag light turns off and on. The vehicle is in motion on city streets or highway, whether go straight or turning, the airbag light turns off and on. This dealer has refused to check the airbags unless I pay and says there's no recall for the airbags though I've received notices.

The vehicle was taken to clawson Honda of fresno (6346 N blackstone ave, fresno, ca 93710 (559) 435-5000) where it was diagnosed that an unknown module needed replacement. The dealer informed the contact of a recall, but no open recalls were found. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The contact received a postcard from tk holdings, alerting her that they filed for bankruptcy. The failure mileage was approximately 100,000.

Initially only the drivers door and right rear passenger door would lock or unlock, whether inside the car, using the key, or using the key fob. Beginning yesterday, all the door locks will neither lock nor unlock using any of the previously mentinoed methods, the lights at the bottom of the door will not turn off, and the dash symbol showing all doors ajar stays on constantly. I initally assumed it was the door actuators but after researching the problem, it seems to point towards an issue regarding three relays which are soldered on what's called a multiplex control unit located under the dash on the left. Safety issue is I can't lock or unlock the doors.
