CarComplaints.com Notes: The 2005 Honda Accord suffers from transmission failure. It's not a huge widesperad problem like in prior years, but definitely still something to consider.
The transmission begins slipping & eventually has to be replaced, typically soon after 90,000 miles & with a repair cost of over $2,000.
Transmission failure problems have been a huge problem for the Accord & several other Honda models all through the early 2000s model years. Honda eventually extended the transmission warranty to 93 months/109k miles for the 2000-2001 Accords as a class action lawsuit settlement, but owners of other Accord model years with transmission problems are out of luck.
I LOVE MY ACCORD !!!.....that's why I call it CoCo !! :')
This noise that I started to hear today is because of the weather conditions that i faced when i was traveling on my CoCo yesterday. I drove through a heavy and dusty winds for about 155-200 miles long with the speed of 120 mph, and when i drove backwards this morning to get out of my parking spot....i heard alot of noises but this noise was the most annoying one. As soon as i put my foot on the brake pedal this noise comes like ZZZZzzzz...and when remove my foot it goes away, I'll to upload a video of it soon. So...if anyone could help me with this problem that'd be great.
Thanks forum. :)

In August 2007 I bought a Honda Accord Tourer CTDI with 13000 miles on the clock. In July 09 I had to replace rear and front pads.In August 2010 I had to replace rear brake pads. In May 2010 the car had to be towed to garage because brakes had siezed and I had to have pads and discs replaced. In the mddle of January 2011 once again I had to call the AA because the brakeshad seized and it is in the garage awaiting pads and discs. Each time it has cost between 200 and 400 pounds sterling. Is this reasonable.?
I hear this loud high pitched grinding noise from what I think might be either the front or back brakes, rotors, heat shields etc. I don't really know.
I know it's not like how brakes sound when they need to be replaced and squeal. It seems to get louder as I press on the gas and quiets as I turn a corner. It has only happened twice now. I took it to Honda and they said they couldn't find anything wrong. Any Clue?
