The transmission begins slipping & eventually has to be replaced, typically soon after 90,000 miles & with a repair cost of over $2,000.
Subframe rust near the front passenger side wheel has become a problem recently, due to the poorly positioned A/C drain hose directly above that area. Repair cost to the subframe is over $2,000.
The SRS warning light likes to come on due to a defective seat belt sensor -- typically the driver's side. This sensor is covered under Honda's lifetime seat belt warranty, but some dealers charge a $100+ "diagnostic fee" or tell customers the entire SRS unit ($800) is bad.

The issue is I can remove the ignition key without the shift lever being in "park" on my 2000 Honda Accord, VIN [xxx]. there is a current recall, but the dealer states it does not apply to my vehicle. The window regulators and power door locks on the Honda's I own keep failing and cost more than 300 dollars to repair. This seems to be a systemic problem on the Honda's. I have had this happen on all 4 doors of my 2000 Honda Accord and 2 doors on my 2004 Honda Pilot. Honda needs to do a recall and fix this issue. People shouldn't have to pay for a systemic issue in the car, which can be a safety issue as well as you can't put the windows down or up once this happens.
