This data is from the NHTSA — the US gov't agency tasked with vehicle safety. Complaints are spread across multiple & redundant categories, & are not organized by problem.
So how do you find out what problems are occurring? For this NHTSA complaint data, the only way is to read through the comments below. Any duplicates or errors? It's not us.
Have had 2 instances with cracked and splitting sidewalls occurring on bf goodrich 195/60 R15 touring T/a tires about a year after they went into service. First time it occurred on 2 tires which were replaced on or about March 2003. Now the replacement tires have a split sidewall 1 year later. Replacing them with another brand of tire before a fatal accident does occur due to a blowout.
