So Sept 09 my boss sold me his sons car, son was a Honda mech, I figured awesome!!! Good owner only 2500 dollars, great dealer. Week one with car the ac stopped working, week two the brake light came on... and never came back off, my emergency brake was NEVER in gaged. Anyway this was all tolerable... had to replace both CV axcels in Jan 10. Then last month it started having an issue accelerating then all of a sudden jolt forward like a rocket..... then the dreaded check engine light came on. PO9370 was the code (It means, combined with the brake light "internal transmission failure"). My dad suggested changing the fluids and filter, which I did. Mech said my filter looked like a spark fluid because there was so much metal caught in it. anyway all fixed right? No! It worked for three weeks perfect. then it was worse! Mech reset my engine codes and said "we'll see how long that lasts" three days later light went on again while on the highway. I got off I was almost at my destination when my car, going 50mph, decided to come to a full stop. then it goes up to 4500 rpms before accelerating. Now she's parked at a friends house waiting to be repaired. Rebuilt tranny costs $400 and he'll fix it for free. But will this fix my problem or am I opening another can of worms? Help! Oh and that boss fired me one week after I bought that car... think he knew it was gonna be an issue.
