My car will start like a champ when it's cold out (cold day, night-time, etc) but when it's warm or hot out, it's a crapshoot as to whether it will start. My mechanic, a very experienced Honda pro is also stumped by this. One of his suggestions ti to turn the key from off to just short of cranking a number of times (he suggested about 10 times) and then try cranking. Sometimes this does work out. I have noticed that if I keep the interior of the car cooler (window opened up, etc) it seems to help versus getting into a oven hot interior - that's typically a no-start situation. What is weird (to me) is that if I get a either a jump start or a pop start from getting a push and letting out the clutch in 2nd gear, it will start up and stay running (this after getting my battery off a charger with a full charge and have it NOT start). This has been an ongoing problem for YEARS
