Steering colume tilt locking mechanisum failed and the colume droped. Had I not been alert vehicle could have swerved and caused an accident. Dealer says steering colume has to be changed but they are no longer available. Wants to put a used one in. It seem to me that it is a manufacturing defect. If not why are there none available any longer? maybe because of a silent recall! this vehicle has benn towed behind a motorhome for 25,000 miles of it's total 53,567 and has not been out of the high position more than two dozen times since I owned it because I am a big guy and need the room.
