Drivers side door hinge separating from frame and door is sagging, ready to fall off. Repair person informed me to fix it would require removing the dashboard and repairing or rewelding the post. It has not yet been fixed, as I cant afford what it would cost.
My door fell off in my hand. Because the sheet metal that holds the upper door hinge is so thin that the nut holding the door pulled through the sheet metal.
Driver's side door hinge has separated from door frame. Door will not properly close. Consumer feels door is not secure and could come open unexpectedly.
The driver's side top hinge is rusted through. The body metal where the hinge is supposed to attach is tearing off or not there. This is happening to both doors and all hinges because of a defect in the metal to which the hinges are attached. The hinges also have defective metal. The 4 wheel drive assembly will not lock in place and won't work.

The driver's door had begun squeaking in the last two weeks. As I was driving on 03/26/2000 I hit a rough spot in the road and the driver's door popped open and sagged onto the bottom hinge. I had to stop and exit the vehicle to close the door. I can't close the door from inside the vehicle. This is a safety hazard.
When attempting to close the drivers side door I noticed that it seemed to be misalligned. Upon closer inspection I found that the door hinge components welded to the body were no longer fully attached and the door was literally hanging on by a thread.
Driver's and the passenger's door hinges which were welded broke off. This could cause a crash. Both doors been have been replaced once, but the problem reocurred.
