A couple of months after the purchase of my GV80, I started experiencing some problems with the steering (Driver Assist). Whether I have my Driver Assist on or off, when I try to change lanes or exit the highway (blinker or not), it severely veers me back. This has almost caused me to wreck several times. Another very scary problem I have been having is with the automatic emergency brake system. Twice I have been driving (once on the highway and once on the access road), and my car has emergency braked right in the middle of me driving in the road!!! It takes me 20-30 seconds to get it to go after that happens. This has also almost caused me to wreck.
There are other constant issues. Just out of the blue, my steering will vibrate, shudder, shake and it's during times when there are no other cars around me. I will also be sitting at a stop light and it will beep to tell me there's something around my car, but there will be no other cars around me. This part is extremely annoying.
At first, I thought it was just something I needed to get used to. But now... It's becoming a huge problem and it's really starting to scare me. I have spoken with a few other GV80 owners and they have said they have the exact same problems. I have also been privy to a Class Action Lawsuit that was filed back in May 2021 by an owner that has these exact same issues!!
I also just saw that there has been a recall on the GV80 2.5 liter vehicles due to a fuel leak that can cause a fire. I have not even been informed by my Genesis Dealer of this issue! This really pisses me off! I was also sent a long survey about my vehicle 3 weeks ago that took me 30 minutes to finish, but I wanted to take the time to address all of my issues and concerns. I submitted it and never heard anything back from anyone.
I'm getting to the point to where I want Genesis to buy this vehicle back from me. It is super scary to drive and seems to continue to have issues. I just don't know where to start!
