Transmission failed at around 92K miles on 2018 Yukon XL SLT, during the national park trip in Apr 2023.
I had to pay out of pocket to fix it, bill was $5500.
It was very dangerous to drive as it would surge or jump at red light or roll backwards on uphill, not safe to drive at all and could go way worse with these transmission issues.
Based on research its common issues with these newer GM's and I was out of warranty with this huge bill. Not to mention I just brought it 6 months back used form dealer and had no extended warranty.
This was very painful experience, and will stay away from GM.
On other GM vehicles they have 100k warranty but on this one only 60k 5 yr, Also there is no easy way to contact GM all they reach out to owners to sell vehicles or warranty, but not good with customer service or quality of product.
