This data is from the NHTSA — the US gov't agency tasked with vehicle safety. Complaints are spread across multiple & redundant categories, & are not organized by problem.
So how do you find out what problems are occurring? For this NHTSA complaint data, the only way is to read through the comments below. Any duplicates or errors? It's not us.
My vehicle has just over 55,000 miles on it and the right front shock is leaking. Not very many miles to be in need of a new shock on the most expensive suspension system GM makes.
The front shock absorbers on my 2018 Yukon denali are leaking. The car is 2 years old with approximately 67K miles. GMC has the absorbers on back order as they are apparently being replaced frequently. I think the shock absorbers have design faults that assure they will need replacing well before the normal life of the product and therefore should be recalled and replaced with a better product. I contacted GMC customer care and they offered to replace them for $1,450 plus tax which is not an adequate solution - they should replace them for free.
