I have a 2015 GMC Yukon Denali and paid dearly for it. Shocks went out at 47,000 miles and now again at 111,000 miles. Why are the shocks going out or leaking? I've never had to replace shocks on a vehicle. It bounces and is very annoying. My car still seems new. Why so many problems with the 2015 Yukon?
Other problems
Transmission x2
Ac compressor went out
Shocks x2
The cover outside between the two windows clips came off.
2 windshields because they seem to crack easily.
I'm still waiting to see if GM will pay for the shocks. I should know by tomorrow.
First starting noticing excessive bouncing in front end AFTER going over a spead bump. Then noticed that going down freeway that bumps made car hard to handle. Took it to Kirkland (WA) GMC/Buick. They said they could not reproduce. I told them multiple riders had commented on it in my car and to go check again. They then re-drove and put up on lift. Low and behold they saw leaking around the struts and said a shock was seizing. He quoted me $2,100 to replace with the SAME EXACT struts and shocks that were already in the car. He also said that he had only seen a few of these complaints over the years. I passed on the repair and took it to a local shop. They quoted me upper end shocks and struts for $900 out the door. This shop said they have seen a ton of of these late model Tahoes and Yukons in for this same exact problem. Luckily my electronic leveling suspension was not throwing error codes or the repair would have been greater. There needs to be a recall on this problem. The message boards are lit up with complaints.
