A few months ago my touchscreen went completely blank while driving, I was able to change the channels using my paddles and increase/decrease the volume but had no idea what was going on with the system. Called the dealership they mentioned that it was more than likely a computer related issue, an update probably needed to be downloaded and it could take a few hours. REALLY! WTH...If computer updates are a regular thing why are they not automatically downloaded?
Why is there a need for something to go wrong in order for you to know an update is required. Took the vehicle in and of course it was there for hours "getting a computer update"; well guess what not even 2 months later I am having the same issue. (Oh and I guess I should state that I turned the vehicle off, allowed it a few minutes to reset, etc. before contacting the dealership the first time)..didn't work. However, on my way to the dealership the next day it came back on.
