We purchased the 2011 lt blue GMC Yukon XL 1500 in 2015 or later. We haven't had it long and didn't drive it much. We started recently driving it and the front passenger seat's back wouldn't come up or lay down. It suddenly stopped working. It slides forward and backwards but the back of the seat will not come back up. Its in the lay down position or almost in that position.
We brought it in to GMC and the mechanic looked at it and told us it would cost $1300 or more to fix. I'm upset at this fact. It's light blue leather and the mechanic will order the parts and fix it. He said it was warped. I only have his word for it. Also the outside plastic décor wouldn't stay on. It was half off when we bought it and they glued it back and it never stuck. Now we have to order another one like it and have it glued on at our expense.
We also have the same crack in our dash board that everyone is talking about. Our 2011 Yukon has extra features that the normal Yukon xl 1500 doesn't have. its similar to the Denali on the inside. We have the moon roof and gps and the movie thing and a load of buttons and whistles that we never cared for but it was there. It rides well.
The reason we purchased the Yukon lx 1500 was because it does ride well unlike the Denali. the Denali does shake and doesn't corner well at all as I have read about. i am upset about having to pay so much for the fixing of the passenger seat and was wondering if anyone had a seat in their Yukon warp like this did.
