Latest issue to develop is a rattling/clunking type noise coming from mid to rear of transmission. Had it scanned and everything was within spec. Shifts out and down shifts perfect and the noise goes away when you shift to drive and pull against the brake. No noise while driving until you come to a stop or idle in park. Doesn't sound like it's coming from flex plate or torque converter either, its further back near the transfer case. No change in drivability other than sometimes when I'm on the interstate or pulling a hill the check engine light comes on as well and service stabilitrac and service traction control messages pop up, not sure if this is related to my transmission trouble or not. I'm leaning toward getting the transmission rebuilt to resolve the issue but it's costly. I've gotten estimates from $1600-$2500 to rebuild (6L80). Anyone else had experience with similar issues? Thanks in advance.
