It happened repeatedly now while driving on freeway the steering would get sloppy at random moments and keeping the vehicle in its lane becomes difficult. I replaced tie rods inner & outer, upper/lower ball joints pitman arm and idler, swaybar links shocks/struts. I even had two different mechanics look at the steering components. Both said everything is in good shape. This only happens at freeway speeds. I bought this truck a month ago
The contact owns a 2006 GMC Yukon. While accelerating from a stop light, the vehicle failed to accelerate when the accelerator pedal was depressed. The traction active warning indicator illuminated. Also, when making turns, the steering wheel made an abnormal noise. The vehicle was not taken to a dealer or an independent mechanic for diagnostic testing. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failures. The approximate failure mileage was 101,000.
I'm having a problem with my right front tire hub being damaged noticed a recall however when I looked at my VIN number it did not come up. Can someone please look into this as it is very costly for me to fix and I'm not the original owner so therefore I would like to find out if this hub problem with axel was ever fixed I also had a problem with the gas line in the past and noticed there is a recall for that which I did not have listed under my VIN number either can someone please write me back and let me know if this is something that would be covered. My tire is in the midst of falling off I continuously get a notice to check tire sensor in addition I have had several electrical issues including the fan not working inside the vehicle to turn on the heat or air conditioner
I just bought this vehicle.steering hesitation during low speed turning. RPM didn't change the hesitation. I had the same problems with the police patrol vehicles at work. All the power steering pumps were changed to correct this hesitation. This should be a recall for all affected vehicles.
2006 Yukon makes a clunking noise when turning the wheel, vibration is also noticed when driving 65 mph. A month after the vehicle was purchased the consumer started to noticed noises coming from the front end. The vehicle was taken to service dealer who determined that the upper and lower control arms needed to be replaced. After repairs of the control arm the vehicle started to vibrate. The vehicle was returned and they replaced the right front tire which they claimed was defective from the factory. One week later the consumer noticed a clunking noise in the front end. The vehicle was returned to the dealer who advised that the right rear upper and lower control arm were bad from the factory. The parts were ordered and replaced. When the vehicle was at the dealer being serviced the technician didn't cover the seat while working and got oil on the seat and steering wheel. The dealer replaced the entire seat with a seat on their lot. The consumer never authorized them to do that. Now the seat is making a clunking noise. The vehicle was returned to the dealer who claimed that the seat is broken and that all the 2006 Yukon denali seat are broken. The sear was taken apart and longer bolts were used to secured the seat. The seat is still broken. The dealer also replaced the steering wheel which is now making noise. The dealer said that the steering box needed to be replaced but that the replacement is noisier than the original. The dash has begun to peel. The dealer indicated that all Yukon denali dashes are peeling. The dash was replaced with a new one. The engine sounds as is a lifter is off. The vehicle pulls to the left.
