The contact owns a 2005 GMC Yukon. The contact stated that after his wife turned off the vehicle, the blower motor control module continued to operate and would not shut off as needed. The contact was able to drive the vehicle back home and had a mechanically inclined friend to disconnect the blower motor wiring harness. The contact had taken the vehicle to a dealer where he was provided an estimate for the repair. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was approximately 115,000.

This is the 2nd occurrence of the same incident in 3 months. While moving slowly through a parking lot, the engine just stops. No shudder, no rough idle, no warning. Without power, steering is impaired or impossible. Turning the ignition key restarts the engine normally. Jiggling the key cannot replicate the problem.
