The contact owns a 2004 GMC Yukon. The contact noticed a leak under the hood of his vehicle. The manufacturer advised him to take the vehicle to a dealer and they stated that the hydro boost failed. The contact would have to pay $861 to repair the vehicle. The mechanic informed him that he could have run out of power steering and brake fluid, and the seal failed and was leaking. The failure could have caused a crash due to the loss of the fluids in the vehicle and the inability to brake. The brakes and the steering are one unit. A GMC representative stated that he would call the contact in 24 hours to discuss whether or not they will pay for the parts or a portion of the repairs. The current mileage was 48,498 and failure mileage was 48,448.
