2001 Yukon transmission seal failed because of rough shifting, serpentine drive belt squeaks. Vehicle leaked fuel consumer had to get a ride home while fire dept cleaned up spill. A seal failed and coolant leaked into the transmission and destroyed it. The radiator seal failed. The head light lens was loose.
2001 Yukon XL SUV with 81182 miles on it. Transmission made a popping sound (no forward gears, but reverse gears). SUV has upgraded transmission that had a supposedly better model "front planet" part per GMC transmission specialist. That supposedly superior "front planet" split into (2) parts inside the transmission although it is one molded piece. Resulting explosion of metal caused a $2703.52 transmission rebuild. I have the digital photos and the actual failed parts!
Multiple failures with 2001 Yukon. Dashboard light, air bag and computer malfunctioned. Problems starting after accelerating. The vehicles computer malfunctioned causing dashboard lights, airbag, L.E.D, and brake lights to turn on. The speedometer froze. When the consumer would press on the gas pedal the vehicle would not respond properly. This problem happens spuractically.
The vehicle was parked and not running, however the consmer was able to apply the shifter from park to drive as well as reverse. Please fill in additional information. The vehicle began to move in the off position when the key was not in the ignition due to the shifter moving from the park position.
When driving at any speed vehicle would not go into overdrive. Consumer took vehicle to the dealership for inspection, and mechanic determined that transmission failed.
