So how do you find out what problems are occurring? For this NHTSA complaint data, the only way is to read through the comments below. Any duplicates or errors? It's not us.
I was sitting in a parking lot and noticed gas fumes in the cab. I got out and looked under the SUV and there was a puddle of gasoline dripping off the engine onto the ground. I took the car to the dealer (which couldn't fix it on a Saturday so we had to stay in town two extra days until Monday and rent a car, but they were fast on Monday). I was informed by the dealer that this was not a covered repair because it was out of the original warranty period, but more concerning was that they could offer no explaination as to what had caused the leak. I am concerned because this could have happened while driving down the highway and caused a fire or explosion and injured or killed me or a member of my family. I have emailed GMC on their web site today. Please look into this as it could be life threatning.
