The contact owns a 2022 GMC Terrain. The contact stated while driving at approximately 25 MPH, the vehicle was losing forward momentum. The contact stated that she depressed the accelerator pedal and the vehicle was still losing forward momentum. The contact stated that she was also smelling the odor of gasoline in the passenger cabin. No warning light was illuminated. The contact had taken the vehicle to a local dealer, where the dealer was unable to diagnose the failure since no codes were in the system due to no warning lights. The vehicle was not repaired. The contact stated that the failure was a reoccurring failure. The contact had researched online and related the failure to NHTSA Campaign Number: 23V013000 (Fuel System, Gasoline), however her VIN was not part of the recall selection. The manufacturer was informed of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 49,000.

The contact owns a 2022 GMC Terrain. The contact stated that while pulling into a parking lot, the fuel light illuminated. While driving, the vehicle shut off and failed to restart. The fuel indicator indicated that there were 34 miles to empty. The contact called Roadside Assistance, who added additional fuel. The fuel indicator showed 64 miles to empty; however, the vehicle failed to restart. The vehicle was towed to the local dealer, where it was diagnosed that the fuel pump module needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was contacted and referred the contact to the NHTSA Hotline. The failure mileage was approximately 43,000.
