I purchased this vehicle in March 15, 2019 and it had just over 300 miles on it. This was my first "new car" purchase and I had researched the Terrain extensively prior to my purchase.
This is just the most recent of a long string of issues that I have had with this car (more will be reported after this one). I noticed in February 2021 that when I turned left at a speed of between 15-20 MPH there was a definite clicking noise coming from the right front of the car. Having worked as a service writer at an independent auto repair shop in the past I knew that there was something wrong and I took the car in on March 1,2021.
The dealership (Seaview Buick GMC in Lynnwood, WA.) originally stated that they could not replicate the clicking noise so I went back to the dealership and asked for a service tech to take a drive with me and we were able to duplicate the noise. I was provided a loaner car and left the car with the dealership and several days later had passed and I had not heard from them so I called in and asked how things were going and was informed that they were still trying to determine exactly what was making the noise but they thought that it was the CV joint.
A couple days later I received a call from the dealership advising that they were ordering a new axle and it would take a few more days to receive the part and install. Finally on March 11, 2021 I was notified that the car was ready for pick up and that they had replaced the axle and sway bar. How can an axle and sway bar go out in 19,100 miles???
