It is a panoramic(big hole) sunroof that has a shade. Both motor driven. It would open and close at inconsistent speeds from the get go. Dealer said nothing wrong, "don't worry about it". Two years and 5 months after taking delivery. The shade stopped opening. Past warranty on miles, $150 to diagnose that it needs a $2,700. repair.
I loved this vehicle for about 3 months, then stuff started breaking. Lots of technology stuff like the premium Bose sound system. There was a very noticeable dip where the dash met the windshield that should have been flagged with even basic QC. It was one of the first produced at the new Mexico plant for this model. Obviously they didn't have all the kinks worked out.
One last thing, the turning radius is absolutely horrible. Four point turns are much more common than three in this small SUV.
