- Summary
- Service Update - Certain vehicles may have a condition where the customer may be able to shift out of park with an expired latent fault mode counter. This will only occur after the customer ignores multiple driver information center (DIC) and chime warnings. By design, the vehicle should not allow the driver to shift out of park once the latent fault mode counter expires. Dealers are to reprogram the engine control module.
