Called MacIntyre in Sydney Nova Scotia and they told me it was not their problem, not even offering a solution, I see there is a class action against GM for paint peeling problems in the USA but have not found one I can join in Canada, does anyone know if there is a Canadian class action
Update from Mar 26, 2024: This was the response to my complaint to GM This is clearly a recall issue that GM as not listening to, apparently the class action has been dropped. Where do we go now. Interestingly, yesterday was collecting my car from a parking lot and saw another GMC Terrain parked next to mine with the identical areas on the hood with the paint peeling ----------------------------------------------------------------------- GM Response Dear Peter:
Thank you for your patience while I reviewed your paint concern with Dennis O'Neil.
We certainly understand the importance of a reliable vehicle and the frustration of the costs associated with unexpected vehicle repairs.
We have confirmed there are no recalls or special coverages for your 2015 GMC Terrain. As well, the New Vehicle Warranty for your vehicle expired January 28, 2019 or at 60,125 whichever came first. Additionally, there are no extended warranties remaining on your vehicle related to this component.
At this time based on the information provided to us, the total cost for diagnosis and repairs would be at your expense.
We apologize for any trouble associated with this situation and understand how distressing it can be.
It is always our goal to assist our customers as much as we can, but it is not always possible.
We appreciate your courtesy in taking the time to contact us. The cumulative reactions of our customers play an important role in the future development of our product.
Sincerely,
Karen GMC Canada Customer Care
